April...The Month

Of The Hog Deer

We are indeed fortunate in Australia to have

the only free-range herd of huntable Hog

deer in the world and Gippsland is where

the vast majority of these deer are found. I've had an

interest in Hog deer for about 30 years and living

right on their doorstep beside the Gippsland Lakes

has allowed me plenty of opportunities to spend time

observing and hunting them. For those lucky to have

access to hunt these challenging little deer the month

of April is eagerly looked forward to.
